Cupping massage is a technique that comes from ancient Chinese medicine. Cupping creates suction which softens tight muscles and tones attachments, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, brings hydration and blood flow to the body’s tissues, and drains excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways. It can be used to treat: Fibromyalgia, sciatica, TMJ, bursitis, tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. It is also highly effective in detoxification.

Medical massage utilizes various massage modalities and focuses on issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome, whiplash, sciatica, and tendonitis. This massage integrates different techniques such as stretching, fascial blending, friction, and compression to achieve a successful end result. The techniques relieve pain and tight muscles as well as promote a deep sense of relaxation.

Neuromuscular Therapy and applies concentrated finger muscles) to break cycles of spasm and pain. Trigger Point Therapy involves placing pressure on that trigger point so that the muscle can relax and the pain can be lessened.

Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons. This is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. The massage therapist generally concentrates on a specific problem area.

Prenatal Massage focuses on the mother-to-be as she goes through the changes due to pregnancy. The massage therapist will focus treatment on the concerns of each trimester. After the mother has given birth, treatment can assist in restoring the body to its normal condition. Prenatal massage may also help reduce and/or eliminate excess water retention.

Reflexology promotes healing by stimulating the nerves in the body and encouraging the flow of blood. In the process, reflexology not only quells the sensation of pain, but relieves the source of the pain as well. The therapist will work on pressure points that are located on the hands and feet.

The term “Swedish Massage” refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.
